Just received my Gold Hog Stream Sluice last week. Ran it on a small stream in south Denver and wanted to get your opinion on my setup. I used the low flow mat, maintaining about one inch of water depth in the sluice (front to back). Any comments appreciated.

It looks pretty good. Those bigger rocks moving through is always my basic barometer for good or bad. Then obviously if you see the material in the mats dancing, that is what help you know it is exchanging. You may want to test losses, but it is certainly very close as i see it.

I don't know how much dirt you put through there but with the Gold that is showing, a dredge would
be great there if dredging is allowed.

No dredging allowed in this area, so shovel, shovel, shovel...

Hunt,

Wherever you are, can you pump water from either the stream or a settling pond and then discharge back in one or the other?

Joe

Not allowed on this creek. Simple sluice or panning...

Hunt4....quick question for you....

Have you worked this area before?
Do you find more gold now than with your previous Sluice?
Have you changed anything else about how you prospect (mine) when you use the Stream Sluice?

My new Stream Sluice was delivered only 3 weeks ago and I haven't been able to get out there with it yet so I'm a little bit curious.

Thanks!
