Good info sure it will help someone.
I fixed my pump. A inside seal had shrunk making a bigger gap inside. It pumps like a new one now. Things like that happens with cheep pumps and motors. Cheep parts. I make a rock crusher and put a HF motor on it. Seals on the gas bowl gave out on it also. GO CHEEP GET CHEEP. Yep thats me.

That pump WILL run a 2 inch nozzle. But it will have to be ran nearly full throttle (more gas). Hose length and lift will also have an affect on the suction. I used that pump with about 15 ft. of hose and it worked fine.
On another note, if you ever plan on up-grading to bigger nozzle, go ahead and get a Northern Tool clear water pressure pump. I have both and rarely use the Champion one now.
