Hey All, First let me say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone and their families. I hope you have a safe and wonderful holiday season.

I picked up my sheet alum and 1/2" rods yesterday. I won't have access to my work area again till the 2nd as the shop will be closed till then. This will be the only progress report till next year. Will post more as I proceed through each phase.

Happy Holidays, Paul

Wow... now you're serious about doing it from scratch-completely. Do you build the water pump from scratch too? Just joking. Good luck with it. Looks like the sluice part will be awesome.

No, you can see the reflection of the box for the water pump in the metal.

I am definitely looking forward to following the build Paul and wish you the best with it. And I'll be picking your brain as it goes along : ) Good luck and thank you for sharing your project with us, it's great watching others ideas come to fruition. Very excited for the project Paul.

Casey

Hey everyone, Finally got a chance to get in the shop, and use the table saw. Got all my sheet goods cut down to size, and all my parts blanked out. I won't be able to get back in the shop till Monday so I can start bending boxes. Will post more pics as I go. Paul

Keep a tolly on your expenses. I'd like to know your cost-labor aside.

Paul, just curious as to how thick the metal is? Also what will be the size of the sluice tray?
