well here is a short update I built the end wheels out of a baby trailer for bicycles but I still haven't found all the stuff to build the top of the sluice I'm probably going to use some kind of a jacking system to adjust the angles on the fly, thinking about car screw jacks OR lift cylinders from office chairs, 8-)

That is pretty cool. I am excited to see it run.

Hey Rayzer!

What if you used one of these sort of upside down? I have seen someone use this clamp such that he takes the stationary part of the clamp off and turns it around facing the other way, and it becomes a foot for the bottom to sit on the ground. The moving slider part of the clamp is attached to the sluice. So when you squeeze the trigger, the clamp ratchets up, elevating your sluice. I guess you'd have to get a "large-ish" one if you want to support your big long tom...or maybe a few of em if you could get a good deal on some.
Just thinking out loud.
