Question

"In 2013 you started producing the Gold Hog 2.0, has it changed much from the original Gold Hog?"

Answer

There are a FEW slight changes, but the unit performs and runs the same as the original. WE ARE NOT going to take down the OLD videos and owners manual yet. There is so much good info there that still applies, we are leaving them up.

So... What is New?

#1 No Rear Kick Plate.
Inside the header box, we have removed the rear kicker plate. This allows
the water to "pool" more.

#2 Deeper Tray
Due to this extra pooling, we have made the skimmer tray, very top tray
with slots, one inch taller. Otherwise water would flow over the sides too
much.

#3 New Slot Design.
The old slots worked great, the only issue we had was with some small
stones getting jammed into the long oblong shaped holes. Just a little of
a pain to keep cleaning. So, we have now moved all the slots to the end
and they are all square 3/8" grooves. (There is also no need for
under-tray now as well.)

#4 New Mat Configurations.
You get...
1- RiverHog mat with main riffles trimmed.
1- Scrubber Mat
1- UR mat
1- Bottom tray mat / Con mat which is UR / Razorback / Bedrock
1- Top tray mat for the skimming tray.

#5 New Skimmer Tray Mat.
The new skimmer tray mat is designed to SLOW down gold, and at the last
minute PULL the gold DOWNWARD FIRST at the skimming holes. It allows large
rocks and lights to keep traveling on one path... FORWARD... while the
black sand, heavies, and gold are drawn downward directly into the
skimming holes first.
The end of this mat forms a strong VORTEX. This pulls down the gold which
has been struggling to move, slowing down, along the mat.

Question

"Even though you have advanced the Gold Hog Stacking Highbanker to the 2.0 version, does the original owners manual still apply to it's set up and operation?"

Answer

Most definitely. After viewing the above video about the Gold Hog 2.0 Stacking Highbanker and noting the small changes, you'll see the importantance of viewing the Original Owners Manual after you have finished watching it.
There is a wealth of information contained in it.

Question

"How much material will the Gold Hog 2.0 Stacking Highbanker process in an hour?"

Answer

On average with a couple healthy people, 2.5 tons an hour, all auto classified to 1/4".

It is a GREAT unit when you have two or more people feeding it, when
using the gas pump, it really has no limits.
The machine will process material as fast as you dump it in.

Our last test was with 3 guys, and one shovel.
One filled buckets, the other carried buckets, the last poured dirt into the unit.
We ran 5.5 tons of material in 4 hours.

Question

"Can you dredge with the Gold Hog 2.0 Stacking Highbanker?"

Answer

Yes, it can be converted / used as a "land based" dredge. The "intake
hole" in the hopper can take up to a 2.5" hose fitting.
Our FAVORITE thing... you can dredge and highbank at the same time.

Of course, you will need to understand how dredging works and the hoses /
pumps / nozzles / etc, which we do not sell.

NOTE... We feel it performs best as a 2" dredge.

Here is one source that sells dredge conversion kits. Parts to accomplish this are available at about all of the mining supply companies on the internet. (Jobe, Keene Engineering, etc.)
