Question

"What are the specifications for the Monster Hog?"

Answer

General Specifications

- When set up, 108" long.
- Sluice width varies with each box, approx 16" wide. (Allows Nesting)
- When fully disassembled and nested, approximately 36" x 16.5" x 14"
- Weight including everything. (Not the pump and hoses) 96 pounds.
- Max feed rate... up to 8 tons per hour tested. It can run higher.
- ZERO classifying. Will handle rocks up to roughly 6-8".
- No Touch header box. Never a rock or jam to clear. (99% of the time)
- FAST efficient destruction chamber turns all dirt into slurry quickly.
- Ready to run mat configuration using all four of our mats.
- Fairly quick setup time. Roughly 30 minutes.
- Portable, can be shipped ahead via USPS to remote locations.
- Nothing to break down. All PVC plumbing can be replaced at hardware
store.
- Runs on a cheap pump. $250 semi-trash, 2" pump. (At least 9200 gph)
(None of our units include pumps. We do NOT sell pumps.)
- It can also run on a 3" pump. Running it with a 3" pump is better. Just neck it down at the pump
discharge to 2". Using the 3" pump your engine speed will be about 50% vice 100% when using
a 2" pump.
Lower engine speed equals lower gas consumption.

Question

"What pump do you recommend for the Monster Hog"

Answer

If you're on a tight budget, a 2" Semi-Trash pump will work. But the money you initially save will be spent later on in higher fuel consumption running the pump at 100% capacity.

(Economy 2" Semi-Trash pump )

(Higher Quality 2" Semi-Trash pump)

A 3" Semi-Trash pump is really recommended because of the savings in fuel cost. It runs at about 50% capacity. Lower engine speed equals lower fuel consumption.

Question

"Since the Monster Hog is such a high production unit, (Over 8 Ton / Hour) can I feed it with a mini excavator?"

Answer

Yes, but.........
Don't dump directly into the hopper.
Make a tray / gutter that feeds into the hopper.
A conveyor system dumping into the hopper would also work.
